Stadionul Municipal

Stadionul Municipal is a multi-purpose venue in central Bacău with a natural grass field and oval concrete stands. The facility accommodates around 17,500 spectators and features multiple entry gates designed for smooth crowd flow.

Construction of the stadium began in 1950 and the official opening took place in 1966. This marked the start of a new era for sports infrastructure in eastern Romania.

From 2001 to 2004, the facility was named Dumitru Sechelariu Stadium in honor of a local administrator. It later returned to its original name.
