Ivanjica

Ivanjica is a city in the Ivanjica Municipality in Serbia, located in the hills of the Moravica region near the border with Western Europe. The town features a manageable center with basic amenities, surrounded by rural landscapes of fields and forested hills.

The city developed as a regional trading hub during Ottoman times and gained importance after liberation as a local administrative center. Its economy has long been based on crafts and agriculture, shaping people's lives across generations.

Ivanjica takes its name from an old Slavic personal name and reflects the traditional rural identity of the region. The town still preserves the way its residents live slowly and communally, with local markets and encounters in the town center.
