The Volgograd Tractor Factory is an industrial complex in Volgograd Oblast, Russia. The site comprises several halls for manufacturing tractors and heavy machinery.
The plant began production in 1930 and contributed to agricultural motorization. Operations shifted to tank manufacturing during the war, and German forces occupied the site in 1942.
Murals showing workers and machines cover several building walls and recall Soviet industrial culture. A T-34 tank stands at the main entrance as a memorial to the wartime years.
The CT tram line connects central Volgograd to the complex and terminates at Vgtz station. Visitors can view outer areas and monuments from public walkways.
The plant received the Order of Lenin twice for industrial achievements. These honors came in 1932 and 1970, recognizing contributions to Soviet heavy industry.
