This space began in the 1930s as a recreation area for workers from the Engine of Revolution factory. Formal pathways and seating were added between 1940 and 1950 to improve the layout.
A central plaza hosts exhibitions and concerts during warmer months, serving as a social gathering spot for the local community. People use this space for celebrations and meetings throughout the year.
The grounds are easily accessible on foot thanks to lit pathways that make navigation safe in low light. Visitors driving can use the available parking, and the layout welcomes all types of visitors and activities.
The oldest oaks in the grounds date back to when it was first created and have remained undisturbed since planting. They form a natural forest setting right in the middle of the city, showing how nature thrives despite urban surroundings.
