Perm Zoo

Perm Zoo is a zoological facility set within a forest area that houses more than 400 species of animals spread across different habitat zones. The enclosures are designed to allow visitors to observe animals across open spaces without visible barriers separating the areas.

The zoo was founded in the 1930s and has undergone several periods of development and renovation over the decades. The facility has been repeatedly modernized to improve conditions and create more suitable environments for its animals.

The zoo welcomes visitors daily with play areas and feeding areas where children can interact closely with animals. Refreshment stands are available throughout the grounds, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended since the facility covers a large area with woodland paths.

The zoo is being transformed into a forest-integrated complex that creates habitats resembling the natural environments of its animals. This redesign allows visitors to observe creatures in a setting that feels closer to their wild homes compared to traditional enclosed zoo layouts.
