Salaryevo, Metro station in Moskovsky Settlement, Russia
Salaryevo is a metro station on the Sokolnicheskaya line with two parallel tracks and a central island platform. It lies south of Kiyevskoye Highway and provides access to one of Moscow's newer residential neighborhoods and development areas.
The station opened on February 15, 2016, becoming the 200th operational station in the Moscow Metro system. Its opening marked a major expansion milestone as the network continued growing into Moscow's southwestern areas.
The station's name comes from a former village that stood here before Moscow expanded southward. It now serves as a focal point for residents in the newer districts that were incorporated into the city.
The station sits south of Kiyevskoye Highway and connects easily to surface transportation options for travelers. Allow time for smooth transitions if you plan to switch between the metro and local buses or other transit options.
Adjacent to the station is a train yard facility that opened at the same time as the passenger terminal in 2016. This depot handles maintenance and servicing of trains operating on the Sokolnicheskaya line.
