Major Tourist Sites in North Carolina

From natural sites to historical monuments, North Carolina features the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Biltmore Estate and its gardens, art and science museums, as well as the Battleship North Carolina. The region also offers botanical gardens, beaches, mountains with hiking trails, and centers dedicated to NASCAR motorsports.

The national park is home to 130 species of trees, 1500 flowers, 200 birds, and 65 mammals. Hikes lead to waterfalls and historic sites.
