Bokalce Castle, Medieval castle in southwestern Ljubljana, Slovenia
The castle stands at 312 meters above sea level on an elevation above the Gradaščica River, below the south slope of Tičnica Hill.
The estate first appeared in documents as Wokhauez in 1548, with the current structure completed in the second half of the 17th century.
The castle represents an important example of medieval architecture in Slovenia, reflecting the building techniques and defensive requirements of its time period.
Located at Cesta na Bokalce 32, the castle now functions as an apartment building and requires substantial repairs to maintain its structural integrity.
The German name Strobelhof derives from a family who acquired the property in the late 17th century, following ownership by the noble Eghk family.
