Bursa Green Mosque, 15th century Ottoman mosque in Bursa, Turkey
The marble and sandstone structure contains octagonal halls, multiple domes, and extensive ceramic tiles in shades of green and blue throughout its interior.
Sultan Mehmed I commissioned the mosque in 1412, with construction completed in 1419 under the supervision of architect Hacı İvaz Pasha.
The mosque displays a fusion of Ottoman, Timurid, and Seljuk artistic elements through its detailed tile work, arabesques, and calligraphic inscriptions.
Located at the intersection of Yesil and Emir Sultan Streets, the mosque remains an active place of worship while welcoming visitors daily.
The interior features a white marble fountain beneath the central dome, illuminated by a lantern that creates patterns across the decorated surfaces.
