Bursa Uludağ Gondola, Aerial gondola lift in Yıldırım, Turkey.
The Bursa Uludağ Gondola is an aerial cable system spanning roughly 8.8 kilometers from the city of Bursa to Mount Uludağ's peak, crossing several different elevations. The current setup has 174 eight-seat cabins that move continuously along the line to carry passengers upward.
The original aerial cable system was built in 1963 by Von Roll Holding and operated for over 50 years before being retired. A modern replacement system began operation in 2013.
The gondola links city life in Bursa with a major mountain destination, especially in winter when many people visit the area for snow sports and outdoor recreation.
The ride from the lower station to the mountain top takes roughly 22 minutes and climbs about 1,500 meters in elevation. Bring warm clothing, as temperatures become much colder higher up compared to the city.
This is the longest single continuous cable system of its type in the world, connecting three different stations across varying elevations. The unbroken line spans 8,837 meters, making it noteworthy for those interested in engineering and mountain transport.
