Heart of Love River Ruyi Lake

Heart of Love River Ruyi Lake is an artificial lake park in Kaohsiung featuring two interconnected water bodies called East Lake and West Lake, connected by a central bridge. The two sections together form a distinctive heart shape that serves as the park's defining feature.

The site began as a flood control facility built during Kaohsiung's urban development period. It was transformed into a public recreational park in the early 2000s to serve the growing city population.

The park serves as a gathering space where locals spend time with family, picnic on the grass, and walk along the waterfront during weekends and evenings. People here enjoy watching sunset views and meeting friends in a relaxed outdoor environment.

The park is easily accessible by Kaohsiung Metro and has multiple entry points with adequate parking. Bicycle rentals are available on-site, and numerous restaurants and shops line the surrounding streets for convenient visits.

The park features illuminated fountains that glow in the evening, while the white openwork railing creates heart-shaped reflections on the water surface. This light display transforms the atmosphere after dark and adds a romantic quality to evening visits.
