The Kaohsiung Hakka Cultural Museum spans 2,645 square meters and features exhibits dedicated to preserving the traditions of Hakka people in Taiwan.
Mayor Wu Den-yih initiated the museum project in 1995, leading to its establishment in November 1998 as a center for Hakka heritage preservation.
The museum building incorporates traditional Taiwanese Hakka architectural elements, including distinctive red glass windows and tiled roof patterns.
Located near Houyi Station on the Kaohsiung MRT, the museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday through Sunday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
The facility maintains several exhibition spaces showcasing Hakka artifacts, clothing, tools, and documents that tell stories of local migration patterns.
