Voikovskyi, Urban-type settlement in Amvrosiivka Raion, Ukraine.
Voikovskyi is a small settlement in eastern Ukraine situated along the Sukhyi Yalanchyk river. The town spreads across terrain roughly 133 meters above sea level in a region dominated by farming and open countryside.
The settlement grew up in the late 1800s around a brick factory that became central to its early economy. It officially became an urban-type settlement in 1940 after establishing itself as a manufacturing center.
Following Ukraine's decommunization laws in 2016, the settlement returned to its original name Kopani, removing references to Soviet-era naming conventions.
The town sits roughly 8 kilometers from Kuteinykove railway station, which serves as the nearest rail connection to the area. It lies about 18 kilometers southwest of Amvrosiivka, the larger neighboring city with more shops and services.
A memorial in the settlement honors 282 residents who served in World War II. Of these, 92 perished in combat while 130 received military decorations for their service.
