Starobilsk Monastery

Starobilsk Monastery is an Orthodox monastery located in Starobilsk in Luhansk region, standing on the left bank of the Aidar River. The complex includes a large church completed in 1899 along with several supporting buildings that form the spiritual compound.

The site began as an orphanage in 1851 and became a women's monastery in 1862 after Anna Bulych entered monastic life. During World War II, the buildings served as an internment camp for Polish prisoners of war.
