Newtown Township, Administrative township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, US
Newtown Township encompasses 10.09 square miles of land with residential areas, business districts, and preserved green spaces near Philadelphia.
The township started as a Welsh Quaker settlement in 1681, receiving its incorporation status in 1684 as one of the earliest communities in Pennsylvania.
Five historical buildings, including the Hood Octagonal School and Old St. David's Church, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The township maintains multiple zones for residential recycling collection and provides online services for account management and municipal payments.
