Camp-Woods

Camp-Woods is a Renaissance Revival estate in Villanova that extends approximately 160 feet (49 meters) in length. Brick and limestone construction with Doric order columns frame the entrance porch, while formal gardens and historical structures occupy the 4.2-acre property.

The property was built in 1910 and represents architectural development during that period in Pennsylvania. Before its construction, the elevated location had served as an observation post for Washington's Army during the Valley Forge winter of 1777-1778.

The estate showcases design preferences from the early 1900s through its blended architectural elements. Wealthy homeowners of that era drew inspiration from European styles and adapted them to create their own distinctive residences.
