Isidoro García Stadium, Baseball stadium in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico
The Isidoro García Stadium is a baseball facility in Mayagüez with 10,500 seats and a main entrance marked by statues, located along Avenida Colby William Duscombe. The venue also houses offices for the Sports and Recreation Department and provides direct access to Carretera 102.
The current stadium opened in 2010 and replaced the original structure that operated from 1938 until 2007. It was named for Isidoro García, who threw the first no-hitter in Puerto Rico's baseball history.
The local baseball team, the Mayagüez Indios, plays here wearing garnet and gold colors that are visible throughout the venue. These colors define the look of the place and create a strong connection to the city and its sports identity.
The grounds are easily reached from Carretera 102 and feature multiple entry points for visitors with different parking options available. When planning a visit, keep in mind that access times depend on the local team's schedule.
Shortly after opening in 2010, the venue hosted the 2011 Caribbean Series and served as a primary site during the Central American and Caribbean Games. These two major international events made the facility an important sports location in the region.
