Capitol Square

Capitol Square is a 26-story office tower of glass and steel that rises prominently in downtown Columbus. The structure connects to an adjoining hotel through an integrated design that creates a unified complex.

Construction of Capitol Square was completed in 1984 by the architecture firm Abramovitz, Harris & Kingsland as part of downtown renewal efforts. The project replaced an older building that previously occupied the site.

The building features a Naiads statue displayed in its courtyard, creating a shared gathering space with the nearby Ohio Theatre. This connection links the structure to the city's performing arts traditions.

The building sits at the intersection of State Street and High Street, placing it in the heart of the downtown business and government districts. Visitors can easily access surrounding civic and commercial areas from this central location.

The building's eastern section creates a seamless connection to an adjacent Sheraton Hotel through a unified architectural approach. This integration allows visitors to move between hotel and office spaces without experiencing a clear separation between the two structures.
