Cornell Tech

Cornell Tech is a graduate school focused on computer science and engineering on Roosevelt Island in New York City, with a sustainable campus featuring research facilities, innovation centers, and residential buildings overlooking the East River. The complex integrates academic spaces with modern work areas and housing designed specifically for graduate study.

In 2010, New York City challenged universities to expand applied sciences education, prompting Cornell University and Israel's Technion to establish Cornell Tech in 2012. The founding transformed Roosevelt Island into a hub for technology research and advanced engineering studies.

The House at Cornell Tech was the first residential high-rise in the world built to Passive House energy efficiency standards. This construction approach dramatically cuts energy use and has become a model for sustainable housing.
