Donauturm, Observation tower in Donaustadt, Austria

The Danube Tower is a 252-meter-high observation facility with two express elevators that take visitors to multiple viewing platforms and dining areas. The structure combines concrete and reinforced steel to provide panoramic views across the entire city.

This structure was built in 1964 as part of an international garden show in Vienna. It evolved from a temporary exhibition site into a lasting city landmark.

The name refers to the nearby river that shapes the city. From here you can see how the Danube flows through Vienna and how people use the parks and paths along its banks.

The site is open daily from early morning until late evening, with express elevators reaching the top in less than a minute. It is easy to access from a central plaza and offers ample parking nearby.

Inside the structure is one of Europe's highest indoor slides, descending from an upper platform. This slide offers a surprising adventure that catches many visitors off guard.
