Hochleckenkogel

Hochleckenkogel is a 1,691 meter (5,551 foot) mountain peak that forms part of the Höllengebirge range in the Northern Limestone Alps. The summit rises directly above the Traunsee lake and commands expansive views across the surrounding Alpine terrain.

The mountain paths originated as medieval trade routes that connected settlements across the Salzkammergut region through Alpine passes. These historic passages later shaped the region's hiking traditions and remain traced along the routes climbers follow today.
