Grünalmkogel, Summit in Salzkammergut region, Austria

The Grünalmkogel is the highest summit of the western Höllengebirge at 1,821 m above sea level, in Upper Austria's Vöcklabruck district. Its northwest flank drops almost 500 m to the Pfaffengraben, while the northeast wall rises more than 1,000 m above the Langbathseen lakes. The peak is usually reached on a marked trail across the plateau.
