Sumqayıtın Tarixi Muzeyi

The museum spans 2,680 square meters across two floors, featuring nine exhibition halls that display archaeological artifacts, historical documents, and regional antiquities.

Founded in November 1967 through a decree of the Azerbaijan SSR Council of Ministers, the museum initially opened with 150 exhibits depicting 18 years of city life.

The exhibition halls present chronological displays from the 16th century to present day, including traditional items from Corat village and regional archaeological findings.

Located on Heydar Aliyev Street in Sumgait, the museum maintains a collection of 15,000 artifacts and offers guided tours through its permanent exhibitions.

The second floor houses specialized sections dedicated to the industrial development of Sumgait, featuring exhibits about construction, factories, and educational institutions.
