Los Piratas featured 12 vehicles traveling through an enclosed environment with Mexican and pirate-themed scenes along a 250-meter track system.
The attraction operated from 1991 to 2012 at Bellewaerde Park, after which it was replaced by a new ride called Huracan.
The ride incorporated elements of maritime exploration and Mexican designs through a sequence of mechanical figures and decorative installations.
Each vehicle accommodated 16 passengers, enabling the attraction to process 1500 visitors per hour during its seven-minute duration.
The ride system, manufactured by Mack Rides, incorporated free-floating splash elements at a maximum height of three meters.
