Meli Park

Meli Park was a theme park near De Panne featuring over 30 rides and attractions for visitors of all ages. The grounds included roller coasters, water rides, miniature golf, gardens, and a fairy tale forest section.

The park was founded in 1935 when a beekeeping family expanded their business by adding educational exhibitions about honey production. It later grew into a full-scale amusement destination with diverse attractions.

The name references honey, reflecting the site's roots in beekeeping. Visitors encountered the beekeeping theme throughout the grounds and attractions.

The park was easily accessible from the coastal region of Flanders and drew crowds of families year-round. Visitors should allow time for lines at popular attractions and wear comfortable shoes for walking the grounds.

A signature attraction was the Apirama, a dark ride displaying mechanical bees producing honey since 1979. This unusual concept directly linked entertainment with the family's original business.
