Coaster Express, Wooden roller coaster at Parque Warner Madrid, Spain
Coaster Express is a wooden roller coaster located at Parque Warner Madrid, a theme park near Madrid, Spain. The track runs through a large timber structure with multiple drops and turns, giving it the rough, rattling ride feel that is typical of classic wooden coasters.
The ride opened in 2002 as part of Parque Warner Madrid's launch and originally operated under a different name. It was renamed Coaster Express a few years after opening, and has run continuously since then.
Coaster Express tends to draw long lines on weekends and during summer, which gives the queue area its own social energy. The creaking and rumbling of the wooden structure is a familiar sound that many returning visitors associate with the park.
Wait times are usually shortest right after the park opens in the morning, so heading there early is a good strategy. The ride can be rough, so it is worth securing any loose items before boarding.
The coaster originally ran under the name El Diablo - Tren de la Mina before being rebranded. Some long-time visitors still refer to it by that earlier name, which reflects how closely people connect with a ride's identity from their first visit.
