Panxón

Panxón is a shell-shaped beach that stretches for more than 1 km along Vigo Bay, with a width of about 200 meters (650 feet). Fine white sand covers the shore, and the entire waterfront has showers, restrooms, and lifeguard services positioned throughout.

The area shows signs of Roman settlement from ancient times, with archaeological remains visible in the region around the beach. This early human activity shows the coastline has long attracted people to its sheltered waters.

This beach forms the center of village life in Panxón, where locals come to swim and walk throughout the year. The seafront bars and fish restaurants line the promenade, serving as meeting places where you can taste fresh catches from Vigo Bay.

The beach is easy to reach and suitable for families, with shallow water and all necessary facilities on hand. The water is warmest from June to September, making these months the most comfortable for swimming.

This beach joins with Playa América at one end, creating an extended shoreline that draws people looking for long walks along the coast. The two beaches are separated by a small rock outcrop, but you can easily walk from one to the other.
