Sanchinarro

Sanchinarro is a modern residential neighborhood in northern Madrid located between the A-1 highway and the M-40 ring road. The area features contemporary apartment buildings, wide avenues, and a planned layout that gives it a newer feel within the city's landscape.

The neighborhood emerged from Madrid's urban development program that started in the late 1990s, with construction beginning in the early 2000s. This project was part of the city's expansion to create new residential spaces for a growing population.

The neighborhood's name comes from a former settlement that stood here before modern construction transformed the area. Today, wide streets and contemporary buildings define how people move through and inhabit this evolving community.

The area connects to Madrid's transport network through the Light Metro ML1 line and various bus routes, including lines 170 and 173. Good transport access makes it easy to travel to downtown or other parts of the city.

The Celosia Building combines housing and green space through an innovative design with alternating built sections and open areas. This mix of homes and shared gardens shows an unusual approach to neighborhood design in contemporary Madrid.
