The Teatro Jovellanos contains a main hall with 1,123 seats distributed across three floors, featuring a stalls section with 476 seats in 18 rows.
Originally named Teatro Dindurra, the building was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War in 1937 and reconstructed in 1942 under its current name.
The theater serves as a venue for the Princess of Asturias Awards ceremonies and hosts the Gijón International Film Festival throughout the year.
The ticket office operates daily from 12:00 to 14:00 and 17:30 to 20:00, with extended hours until 20:30 for same-day performance tickets.
The building includes five dedicated wheelchair spaces and underwent substantial renovations in 1995 and 2010 to enhance its stage mechanics and seating area.
