Convent of Las Descalzas Reales, Baroque convent in Valladolid, Spain.
The Convent of Las Descalzas Reales features a neoclassical church with a single nave, barrel vault, and dome resting on pendentives, built with brick on stone base.
Founded in 1550 in Villalcázar de Sirga, the convent relocated to Valladolid in 1552 with support from Count Oscorno and later received patronage from King Philip III.
The main altarpiece, constructed between 1610 and 1615, combines works by Juan de Muniátegui, Gregorio Fernández, and Santiago Morán, depicting scenes from Virgin Mary's life.
The convent maintains an industrial laundry facility on the premises, providing a source of income for the thirteen Colettine Poor Clare nuns who reside there.
The convent's square cloister preserves its original flooring and features two levels with characteristic arches connecting different sections of the religious complex.
