Playa de Cantarriján, Naturist beach in Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Area, Spain.
Playa de Cantarriján is a naturist beach in the Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Area along the Granada coast. It consists of two shingle coves bordered by tall limestone cliffs and stretches roughly 400 meters with clear Mediterranean waters and sandy sections.
The coastal area was designated as a natural reserve in 1989 to protect the original landscape of cliffs and marine habitats from development. This protection prevented overdevelopment and allowed the region to maintain its natural character.
The beach has two distinct zones: a casual section with restaurants and beach bars where clothing is optional, and a secluded nudist area separated by rocks in the second cove.
From June to September, visitors must use a shuttle service from the N-340 parking area since private vehicles cannot drive directly to the beach. The walk from the parking area is short, but it is wise to wear comfortable shoes and check shuttle availability before visiting.
The protected marine environment prohibits fishing, which has resulted in abundant sea life that makes the location excellent for snorkeling and observing underwater creatures. Clear waters allow visitors to see colorful fish and other marine life in their natural surroundings.
