Marina del Este

Marina del Este is a sailing port in La Herradura near Almuñécar with roughly 220 berths for boats between 8 and 30 meters long. The harbor features moderate water depths and offers various facilities that support mooring and extended stays for sailing vessels.

The port was built in the 1970s and marked a turning point in how the southern coast of this province developed as a tourist destination. The project enabled sailing yachts to visit the region more regularly and water sports became an increasingly popular activity here.
