Description
The Ermita de la Paz is a small church on the Plaza Mayor featuring three semicircular arches supported by stone pillars. Inside, it contains a vault decorated with Mudejar paintings and a Baroque altarpiece.
History
The structure was completed in 1750, replacing an earlier Renaissance chapel dedicated to Saint Benedict. This transformation reflected the desire for a more modern space to serve the spiritual needs of the community.

The hermitage was built at the request of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Peace to accommodate the growing number of worshippers gathering for prayer. It emerged from the practical need to create a dedicated space for religious gatherings in the plaza.
