The church features a central nave with a dome, side chapels connected by arched galleries, and a tower built in classical proportions.
Originally constructed as a Jesuit college church in the late 16th century, the building changed its dedication to San Juan el Real after the Jesuits' expulsion in 1767.
The church houses early oil paintings by Francisco Goya depicting the four Church Fathers in the pendentives beneath the central dome.
The church maintains regular mass schedules and contains a small museum displaying religious artifacts and artworks from its collection.
The interior decoration includes extensive 18th-century moldings with plant motifs, making it one of the most notable Baroque spaces in Aragon.
