Palace of Villabona

The Palace of Villabona is a manor house with a distinctive four-story square tower featuring a four-sided roof and a main facade adorned with family coats of arms. The structure incorporates a private chapel and contains stone elements transferred from a historic convent.

Construction of the residence began in the early 1700s as a dwelling for a wealthy family. Decades later, a Romanesque portal stone from an older convent was relocated and integrated into the building.

The chapel dedicated to the Three Wise Men shows how noble families integrated religious devotion into their private spaces. This sacred room reflects the spiritual values that shaped everyday life within the residence.

The property operates today as an event venue and is actively used for celebrations and conferences. Visitors should arrange a visit in advance since the building functions as a working space for private functions.

The gateway is flanked by decorative shell-shaped niches that blend functional defense with artistic embellishment in an unusual way. This ornamental security feature demonstrated both the owner's status and refined taste.
