Plaza de Toros de La Merced

The Plaza de Toros de La Merced is a bullring in Huelva featuring a circular design that blends regionalist and postmodern architectural influences. The structure accommodates around 10,000 spectators and contains stables, veterinary facilities, and specialized areas for bullfighters.

The bullring was constructed between 1901 and 1902 under architect Trinidad Gallego Díaz's direction. Following a period of disuse, the structure underwent comprehensive restoration in 1984.

The venue is closely tied to the annual Feria de las Colombinas held each August, which commemorates Christopher Columbus's expeditions that departed from Huelva. Visitors can experience the energy that fills the stands during these festive celebrations.
