Veneguera

Veneguera is a beach with olive-toned sand located in Mogán on Gran Canaria, set within a rocky cove that feels removed from busier areas. The shoreline runs between steep cliffs, creating a natural and sheltered setting.

The area was shaped by farming and livestock herding in earlier times, as shown by old stone walls and abandoned farm structures dotting the landscape. This rural past continues to mark the character of the place.

The R1 Veneguera trail passes through sections containing Canarian houses, ancient bread ovens, and large carob trees that represent regional architecture.

The beach is accessible via a straightforward path from the village of Mogán, though facilities on-site are minimal. It helps to bring water and sun protection, as the location sits quite open to the elements.

The beach is known in part as a clothing-optional area and draws visitors seeking a free bathing experience. From here, a hiking trail also departs into the mountains, passing through old settlements and rural landscapes.
