Ferrari Land, Ferrari-branded amusement park in Salou, Spain
Ferrari Land is a theme park within the PortAventura World resort in Salou that extends over a large area and offers rides, shows and experience zones centered around the automobile brand. The grounds are divided into several zones with roller coasters, simulators and interactive stations that combine racing and design.
The park opened in spring 2017 as the first leisure project of this brand in Europe. Its creation expanded the existing resort with a standalone area dedicated exclusively to an automobile brand.
The grounds display Italian facades, piazzas and design elements that recall the brand's home in Maranello. Red dominates everywhere, from the vehicles to the buildings, creating a continuous color world that visitors immediately connect with the brand.
Many rides require minimum heights, so families with young children should check the requirements beforehand. The park sits within a larger resort, and the paths between areas can be tiring on hot days.
A simulator zone lets visitors recreate historic race tracks from the perspective of a Formula 1 cockpit. The technology conveys steering movements, acceleration and cornering, giving a sense of driving style on legendary circuits.
