Otaniemi water tower

The Otaniemi water tower in Espoo features a cylindrical storage tank mounted atop a five-story building that houses technical equipment and office spaces. The structure rises approximately 45 meters and displays the clean geometric forms characteristic of modernist design.

Finnish architect Alvar Aalto designed this water tower, which was built between 1968 and 1972 as part of the Otaniemi campus development. The project reflected the modernist principles that influenced infrastructure design during this period in Finland.
