Villeneuve-Loubet is a coastal community on the Mediterranean between the sea and hills, with about four kilometers of beach along its shore. The Marina Baie des Anges defines the waterfront with its contemporary development.
The place came together from two historic settlements: the inland village of Villeneuve and the coastal village of Loubet. This merger created the current community with its mix of rural and seaside character.
Auguste Escoffier came from here and shaped modern French cooking techniques that still influence chefs across Europe. His methods transformed how professional kitchens organize and prepare food.
