Chapelle Saint-Estève, Medieval chapel in Rians, France

The Saint-Estève Chapel features a single nave with a semicircular apse and a broken barrel vault supported by pilasters with diverse profiles.

Between the 11th and 12th centuries, the lands of Rians were divided between two noble families: Geoffroi de Rians and the House of Simiane.

Religious services at the chapel were announced to the faithful using a seashell as a trumpet due to the absence of bells.

The chapel underwent restoration work in 2000, and additional improvements in 2013 made it accessible to both local residents and visitors.

The chapel stands near a medieval path that led to Jouques, close to Revelette and its water sources.
