Ram Mandir, Hindu temple in Bhubaneswar, India
Situated within a 1.25-acre complex in Janpath, Ram Mandir includes six subsidiary shrines surrounding the central sanctum dedicated to Lord Rama.
Inaugurated by the Shankaracharya of Puri on June 27, 1979, the temple construction began after the Odisha government allocated land for this religious project.
The main shrine houses deities brought from Rajasthan, while daily ceremonies and prayers maintain Hindu traditions according to scriptural guidelines.
The temple administration, now under the Odisha government since September 2016, maintains regular hours for devotees to participate in morning and evening prayers.
The temple structure, designed by Kothari and Associates, follows specific architectural patterns that incorporate both regional and northern Indian temple styles.
