Sugh Ancient Mound, Archaeological site in Yamunanagar district, India.
The Sugh Ancient Mound extends over 5 kilometers along the western bank of the Yamuna River flood plains in Amadalpur Dayalgarh village.
Chinese explorer Xuanzang documented this location in the 7th century, noting the presence of Buddhist structures and describing it as the ancient city of Srughna.
Excavations at the site revealed numerous terracotta sculptures, including a notable piece depicting a child learning Brahmi script from the 2nd century BCE.
The archaeological site maintains protected status under the Government of Haryana and welcomes researchers interested in examining artifacts from multiple historical periods.
