Mandapeta mandal

Mandapeta mandal is an administrative district in the Konaseema region with one central marketplace town and thirteen surrounding villages. The area covers agricultural lands in southeastern Andhra Pradesh.

The region was long part of East Godavari district before being incorporated into the newly created Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district in 2022. This reorganization fundamentally changed the area's administrative status.

The area maintains traditional farming methods passed down through generations, deeply rooted in the landscape. Life here follows the rhythms of rice harvests and seasonal cycles that shape daily routines.

The area is well equipped with essential services including schools and health facilities concentrated in the central areas. Good orientation comes from the compact structure with the marketplace serving as a focal point.

The area shows an unusual ratio between female and male population, with more women than men living here. This characteristic is uncommon for many rural areas and makes the place demographically distinctive.
