Geißspitze

Geißspitze is a mountain summit in the Montafon region of Vorarlberg, rising to 2,334 meters with exposed ridges and steep slopes. The peak forms part of a larger limestone massif that shapes the valley landscape.

The peak sits along historic trading routes that connected the Montafon valley with neighboring Alpine areas and have been used for centuries. These paths developed to move people and goods across passes between valleys.

Local mountaineering clubs maintain traditional shelters and rest points along the trails leading to Geißspitze, preserving Alpine hiking heritage.

Multiple marked trails lead from Tschagguns to the summit, with routes clearly visible and well maintained during the hiking season. Hikers should wear sturdy boots and bring layered clothing, as weather at high elevation can change quickly.

The summit provides clear views of both the Drusenfluh and Sulzfluh peaks, creating natural orientation points for mountain navigation.
