Blue Cross Centre

Blue Cross Centre is a nine-story office building in Moncton's downtown with a glass atrium and transparent elevators running through its center. The structure connects to the BMO building via an enclosed pedestrian bridge above Main Street, creating a unified complex.

The building was constructed in 1988 and brought a new office complex to Moncton's growing downtown. A four-story expansion followed in 2006, enlarging the structure and increasing its functionality.

The building houses the main branch of Moncton Public Library, where residents borrow books and spend time in the reading areas. The library serves as a community gathering place where people of various ages come together to learn or simply pass their day.

The complex features multiple elevators and is accessible throughout, making visits convenient for families or those with mobility aids. The glass elevators and covered walkways allow visitors to explore the building comfortably regardless of weather.

The glass elevators are a distinctive feature that offers passengers views of the atrium's interior structure as they travel. This creates an interesting visual experience that is uncommon in most office buildings.
