The 890-hectare Irishtown Nature Park features 20 kilometers of recreational trails through forest areas and a 101-hectare lake for water activities.
The park grounds served as Moncton's first water supply system in the mid-19th century, with interpretive signs explaining its municipal significance.
A restored one-room schoolhouse within the park functions as a small museum, preserving educational heritage from earlier times.
Visitors can access the park through multiple entry points, including the main parking lot at 1155 Elmwood Drive and Caledonia parking lot at 595 Caledonia Road.
The park maintains year-round bird feeding stations attracting chickadees, nuthatches, finches, and woodpeckers throughout different seasons.
