Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame, Sports hall of fame in Halifax, Canada.
The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame exhibits a collection of sports memorabilia, photographs, and displays celebrating provincial athletic achievements through multiple generations.
Founded in 1964 by John E. Ahern, the hall initially recognized four notable athletes including Aileen Meagher, Johnny Miles, Sam Langford, and George Dixon.
The hall preserves and presents athletic equipment, medals, photographs, and personal items from athletes who shaped the sports landscape of Nova Scotia.
Currently undergoing renovations, the museum will relocate to the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, where visitors will enjoy free admission to explore the exhibits.
The institution maintains an extensive collection of local sports artifacts donated by former Halifax Mayor John E. Ahern, representing the largest single contribution.
