Lac de Mauvoisin, reservoir
Lac de Mauvoisin is a reservoir in Valais, Switzerland. The water body is contained by a high dam and spreads through a narrow valley flanked by steep mountain slopes.
The lake was created in 1957 with the construction of the dam. This work became a key part of the region's hydroelectric development and has shaped the landscape ever since.
