Pigne d'Arolla, Alpine summit in Valais, Switzerland.
Located at an elevation of 3,790 meters, Pigne d'Arolla features two distinct peaks and offers extensive views across the Pennine Alps region.
The first documented ascent of Pigne d'Arolla occurred on July 9, 1865, when Adolphus Warburton Moore, Horace Walker, and Jacob Anderegg reached the summit.
The mountain forms part of the Haute Route, a long-distance trail connecting Chamonix to Zermatt, attracting international mountaineers throughout the year.
Three mountain huts provide accommodation options for climbers: Cabane des Vignettes, Cabane des Dix, and Cabane de Chanrion, each offering different access routes.
During early summer, the north face of Pigne d'Arolla transforms into an ice climbing destination with routes across the Otemma glacier.
